Messenger is reportedly in the process of deploying Auto Status on its application, a feature that Facebook has already experimented with with Threads messaging.

It was Jane Manchun Wong who spotted this new feature and shared screenshots on Twitter. According to the blogger, Facebook Messenger is testing automatic statuses. These are not new since they were present on MSN, the reference messaging service from the early 2000s, but what exactly do they consist of?
