TikTok: 2 billion downloads, a new record

Particularly popular with its users for entertainment during the general containment due to the coronavirus pandemic, the TikTok application has set a new record with more than 2 billion downloads worldwide, on the stores of Apple and Google, according to a study of Sensor Tower. The short video app owned by ByteDance has thus become the 1st application, after Facebook and its galaxy (WhatsApp, Instagram and Messenger), to cross this symbolic mark since January 1, 2014. The previous record had been set 5 months earlier, when TikTok had passed the 1.5 billion downloads.
